Why Deer Run

Growing Friendships

Time and again, we hear from campers that camp is all about the friends you make. It’s the friends you share your life with, who challenge you, who help you through tough times, and shine with you in the bright times. Camp brings friends together through shared experiences away from your normal life.

Loving Counselors

Second to friends, the most important people at camp are your counselors. Deer Run counselors are hired because of their love for Jesus, spiritual dedication, and passion for camping. Deer Run counselors are the mentors you are looking for.

The Waterfront

While Deer Run has lots of activities on our sports fields and scattered through the woods, we pride ourselves on having the best waterfront in New England. Deer Run boasts a quarter mile of sandy shoreline along Chestnut Cove on New Hampshire’s premier lake, Winnipesaukee. And you don’t have to stay on shore–we’ll get you out on the water waterskiing, sailing, wakeboarding, canoeing, windsurfing, SCUBA and skin-diving, and more.  The waterfront will quickly become one of your favorite places at camp.

Expand Your Faith

Deer Run is more than just a great camp full of traditional camp activities and songs. We are a Christian camp, which means we carry the love of Jesus into all aspects of camp life. We study God’s word and apply it to our lives. We strive for character that puts others first, cares for our world, seeks truth, and challenges us to live beyond ourselves.
